Use SharePoint document libraries
Wisdom EDRM extends native SharePoint document libraries to provide direct integration with the Wisdom document and records management store. You can create content in SharePoint and, either manually or automatically using workflow, move it into Wisdom at the point where it is finalised. From the user’s perspective nothing changes, documents are still visible in SharePoint, but for corporate governance, reuse and organisation, the content is under the full control of Wisdom EDRM.
SharePoint search
Documents and records in Wisdom are searchable by SharePoint. Users don’t care where content is, they just want to find the information they need from a single familiar location. Search results from Wisdom are security trimmed, so people only see documents and records to which they have access rights.
Records centre
Using the SharePoint Designer, you can create custom views of the Wisdom Records Centre, tailored to the exact information access requirements of every user group. Without writing any code, you can have optimised access to content, based on peoples’ work patterns and business processes, resulting in significant cost and time savings in the performance of repetitive tasks.
